Microsoft FrontPage Tips

- Shawnee uses FrontPage for Web development because the features carry over from other Microsoft products such as Word and it requires little training.
- FrontPage has a feature called Imager that easily creates buttons.
- FrontPage server extensions are needed on IIS servers to process FrontPage objects.
- It can be set up to create pages for a particular browser.

DreamWeaver Demo

- Macromedia DreamWeaver allows you to create rollovers and fly-out menus.
- Runs several reports for things like broken links and missing alt tags.
- Layers can be converted into tables and vice versa.
- Multiple palettes are easy to use.
- Can check for problems across different browsers.
- Can download accessibility checker extension from Macromedia Web site.
- 30-day free trial can be downloaded there also.
MARC uses a free search engine from atomz.com. It will index your site for free if you have less than 500 pages. It also creates customized reports of broken links or words used to search.
