Significant software updates
Barbara Hensley began by showing the new red eye correction tool which can instantly neutralize red eyes with one-click. She proceeded to demonstrating the revolutionary Healing Patch tool in PhotoShop CS2 , followed by the Vanishing Point perspective tool. Barbara also pointed out how file handling and production tasks are simplified with Adobe Bridge , a next-generation file browser. You can open Bridge from Illustrator, InDesign, and PhotoShop and quickly find pertinent graphic files you’ve stored. If you prefer, you can also drag and drop your image files stored in Bridge directly into your application. It’s slow to load but is worth the wait.

Susan Walters showed us how convenient Photoshop CS2’s WYSIWYG font menus are, enabling you to preview typefaces visually from the Font menu. She also demonstrated how easy it is to warp an image around any shape using Image Warp. More time was focused on the CSS Style rendering toolbar, which enables more ease in working with complex style sheet information. Plus, new support for media types lets you add styles aimed at specific devices—creating a stylesheet, for example, that only applies when a Web page is printed. In addition, a new XML/XSLT authoring feature simplifies the process of producing and formatting an XML file for viewing in a Web browser. In other words, since RSS feeds are simply XML, you too, can create RSS feed files. Opening a Web browser to preview your design is improved, also. To get started with any of these features, simply do a search in the Photoshop CS2’s Help Center window.
