There were 20 attendees who represented the following organizations:
City of Shawnee, KS; Johnson County Sheriff's Office; City of Kansas City, MO; City of Overland Park, KS; City
of Lenexa, KS; Clay County, MO; Johnson County, KS; City of Gladstone, MO; Johnson County Library; City of Olathe,
KS; MARC; and Johnson County Water District.
Chris Audano, Chair, welcomed all attendees to the City of Overland Park's facility.
Intranet Demonstration
City of Overland Park's "OPNET"
Randy Ellis and Chris Audano demonstrated the City of Overland Park's award winning intranet "OPNET"
to all attendees. Randy and Chris explained how the process began and demonstrated dynamic pages. After a lengthy
discussion, the group decided to have another meeting topic on intranets and suggested that all organizations bring
screen shots of their intranet. The meeting date was not set to discuss this topic again.
Financial Report
Barbara Hensley reported on MAGWeb's financial status. As of
today, MAGWeb has $650, with an expected amount of $1,470 once outstanding payments are collected. She indicated
there were eight individuals who have not paid for the 2003 Webmasters Conference. It was suggested that a reminder
be sent to them before the end of the year in order for their organization to submit payment out of their 2003
budget if necessary.
Treasurer
Chris Audano recommended that a MAGWEB member be elected treasurer
to keep track of all accounting records. Rich Lovett volunteered and the committee approved. No special checking
account will be established because MARC has agreed to keep our MAGWEB account through their organization. Therefore,
all invoices should be approved by Rich Lovett before submitting them to MARC for payment.
Different Meeting Location
It was suggested that MAGWEB's monthly meetings be hosted by
other MAGWEB members on a quarterly basis. The majority of attendees from past meetings are from Johnson County,
so a meeting at a Johnson County location would be a welcome change. However, MARC would still host the meetings
from time to time. This topic was tabled until the January meeting. The January meeting will be held at MARC.

There was discussion that MAGWeb's website should be updated.

2004 Webmasters Conference
The 2004 Webmasters Conference is scheduled for September 23
- 24, 2004. The conference location is between the Overland Park Doubletree and the Overland Park Sheraton. The
Conference Committee will meet directly after this meeting to make a decision. [Postscript: the committee voted
to hold the conference at the Sheraton.]
